My Bio

Since a young age, I had a thing for the arts and an innate desire to express my creativity.

|| ART ||

I have always been interested and curious about drawing, painting and art. The trend started very early and in 2005, when I was 11 years old, I started taking private painting classes given by the painter Teresa Vasconcelos and I finished at the age of 18 in 2012. In my free time I attended these painting classes, I also developed interest in drawing, photography and I also did murals, which gave me experience in several artistic supports.

After finishing High School at the Grande Colégio Universal and Colégio D.Dinis, I entered ESAP (Escola Superior Artística do Porto) in 2012, where I learned new techniques and various types of works such as Engraving, Lithography, Serigraphy and Illustration, I improved the technique of drawing and painting and I acquired a rhythm of work that is fundamental for the future, in which corresponds to create proposals of work, to develop projects, to substantiate them and to present them.

|| VIDEOGAMES ||

More recently my focus has turned to a completely different area. Although not in professional terms, video games have also accompanied me as long as I can remember.

Over time and focusing on the Xbox community, I became increasingly interested in informing the community in Portugal, thus creating, with other members of the community, the site www.xboxptdummies.pt.

Soon we felt that success was growing and, although small and young in this project, we have many ideas and goals, and it was in our intentions to keep the community informed, unite it with activities and make our presence known.

The project always allowed me to express my artistic vein and the truth is that video games have always been a source of inspiration. After all, most of them focus on entertainment, but they are also a misunderstood and overlooked artistic vein in this regard.

Unfortunately, due to lack of resources and staff, we terminated the website and other efforts.

Olá Catarina! Obrigada pelo watch! Continua com o bom trabalho!

Sem problema! :) Obrigada eu! Continuação.

Many thanks for faving!;) (Wink)
Thanks for the :+fav: of my Spirit in the Sky watercolour, it was quite a departure for me in terms of colour and painting style, and as such very liberating as well. :D
I just loved the style. :) The colours and all, very well done!
Gonna check more in your gallery. Although I'm not a fan of "copying" pics that already exist. I give more value to imagination, but you do have some talent :) Still, it's not a crazy realistic copy so, I admire your art. I hate those artists that paint in a way you can't distinguish the painting from the photo. Art is about creating, or paint the world through other eyes cause the real one our eyes can see already... Your "copies" have a style so, keep it, never try to copy perfectly cause that's boring, at least to me :P And, don't know if you tried something from your imagination. Can be trees, sea or the sun, just the arrangement of the elements could not be copied. If you never tried, you should :P
I think if you knew how little I actually followed the photo to make this painting you would be quite surprised.

Over time I have really learned to use reference photos as simply guides for what I do, and I paint things the way I feel them.  I know in thumbnails some of my paintings look photo like, but in full view they are never close to that.

I have not done any paintings from my imagination but I have done quite a few of those with my daughters.  The truth is I only have limited time to paint and quite a few projects and requests to take care of.

Thank you very much for your thoughts and ideas, I appreciate them very much, also thanks for the :+fav: of my Tulabi Falls painting, there is a lot in that one that I had fun creating. :-)
